I realize it’s just a joke, but from someone whose hangovers were so bad, I literally almost killed myself, I don’t recommend alcohol as medication. Fortunately I’m five years sober and been in therapy since my last drink, so there’s that in case anyone needed to hear it
No, but it’s a first class carcinogenic.
My boomer mom when it comes to anxiety/depression: Back when we were young that wasn’t even a thing!
Also my mom talking about alcoholism during that time: Oh yeah half my colleagues were alcoholics that never fully recovered from it but only 2 or 3 drank themselves to death.
“Only my sister drank herself to death but fuck her I guess” “Moral failure, did she try not doing that?”
Alcohol really is one of the best anti anxiety drugs on the planet. But, the side effects aren’t worth it in the long run.
As Homer Simpson says; it’s the cause of and solution to all of life’s problems
I’ve never been an alcoholic, but for a long time I felt like slightly drunk me was a better and happier me.
Turns out anxiety meds also make me a better me.
Glad I didn’t embrace drink me more.
Yeah you don’t want all this
One of the side effects is anxiety
Centuries of drinking alcohol before we finally invented water filtration have really messed up our species.
I mean, in a sense. Alcohol is an anxiety inducing medication… Unless you never stop drinking
Suppressing?
Surpressing while you drink, inducing when you stop
Jägermeister was invented as a remedy against cold. But it turned out to be a cure for dignity.
At this point just do benzos instead. Drinking daily will fuck up your liver. Just dont increase dosage or suddenly stop taking benzos or you might die. ( same with alcohol btw.) Dont abuse them or you will find out what “benzo hell” is.
