For me it’s about conservation of species. Many whales are still endangered and “a handful of shitty people” is all it takes to kill them unfortunately.

While animal cruelty in farms is a real issue, conservation of wildlife is infinitely more important IMO.

That being said, there are also sharks and cephalopods that are endangered :(
