Not my meme, I stole it. But I think the Panama invasion was the end of the golden age (/s) of US fuckery in Latin America? Things were relatively quiet (or I’m uninformed) until the first Trump administration started fishing for coup participants.

Even many Americans would agree that their country have been a terrorist state. But as for getting banned, it depends how you phrased your criticisms.
Yeah, I also came from a country that was a former US colony. I would not run out criticism of US government policies and their elites, and I always say that Trump is merely showing the true face of America. But I would not generalise most or every Americans as fascists, same way as I criticise Russia but not all of its people. I’m just an anti-imperialist and I would happily see imperialist ruling class choke and fall from their own hubris, but I would not wish the worst on ordinary honest people except on those who consciously support imperialism.
I can confirm that, at least for me, these things aren’t taught. I only learned about them when visiting the affected countries.
