Vibe coding ain’t any different from going to any website in the world, copying whatever code you can find, and then wondering why your PC has been infected with ransomware because you’re too dumb to understand what any of the code does.

It’s also extremely unprofessional, in my opinion, and, also in my opinion, shows you don’t understand a programming language enough to be using it in a professional setting ( for software regardless of whether it’s private or public use ) whilst also being too lazy to read any form of documentation.

Anyone who calls themselves an"vibe coder" are people I assume never passed kindergarten because clearly they lack any form of critical thinking.

Ain’t no way that’s a Discman. I have a Sony one from the 90s on my desk, for one. Two, I thought Sony had the trademark on Discman? And three, that’s Panasonic and doesn’t have Discman anywhere on it.

So unless Discman wasn’t trademarked and became synonymous with CD players, I refuse to accept that’s a discman!

They may be dead, but we still have some amazing alternative OS’s that exist that, as far as I’m aware, are still being updated. First thing that came to my mind was AROS ( Amiga Research Operating System that had to change the name to AROS Research Operating System ).

I personally don’t use it since I don’t use Amiga software, but it’s still really cool. Under no circumstances would I recommend it as a daily driver because any software based around Amiga is purely hobby at this point, but it’s still cool to check out.

  • If anything, I only use ungoogled chromium if a website refuses to work in Firefox. Had a financial fraud and identity theft scam the other day hosted on a Singaporean form service thing that I had to report using that browser because the send report button wasn’t working on FF.

As much as I don’t like it, it’s probably a good idea to have a backup chromium based browser like ungoogled chromium just in case. Just be sure to not be like me and actually have it in some sort of sandbox rather than running the flatpak on its own.

  • I totally wish I could install an actual Linux based (I don’t consider android Linux) distro on my current phone and also be able to install something like Waydroid with some sort of sandbox for it. Though I’m pretty sure my budget Samsung would fry itself if I tried doing that considering I can’t even unlock the bootloader without it freezing up indefinitely.

  • I’ve got a stubborn father. Years ago, back when our old family computer was working and was something we actually used, all I wanted to do was remove a simple toolbar from the single web browser we all used that might have been caused by a virus (probably caused by me being dumb) and uninstall something that caused it (also probably caused by my idiocy). This was around 2019.

The problem was my parents didn’t want me on it all night so they had something like an admin password, but I figured it out long before this because they wrote it down in a notebook. The other problem is they didn’t know I knew the password, so I didn’t wanna let them know I knew it. Also, with the computer being in the living room, I couldn’t just fix this at any point because my parents (at least one of them) were usually in the living room at any given time besides at night.

In the end, it pretty much devolved into me telling my father that I’m just trying to remove something that could actively harm our PC, but he refused to let me do it. Don’t know if it was because he didn’t wanna type the password or what, but it was a short shit show… until he finally relented and for a measly few seconds he had to enter a password instead of spending minutes fighting me on this.

  • I’m lucky enough to have an outlook account with a much more professional address than any of my other email addresses, not including than my secondary protonmail account. But I’m definitely gonna have to close that outlook account due to security reasons and get a new one (for professional stuff since I doubt anyone would accept anything other than gmail or outlook where I live).

Ain’t now way anyone is gonna say my gmail account (just used for yt because I like commenting on certain videos) saying I’m a fan of a long since dead yt channel is very professional. My outlook account at least was/is more professional as it is nothing but a few letters that don’t spell anything.
