And more accessible to photosensitive epileptics!
Agreed. You’re not taking the risk, don’t make the decision for me. I’ll go when I feel it’s safe for me to do so.
I bitch about this constantly. My partner and I love to walk around town, and people will stop let us cross at weird points in the street. My partner is always happy about this and I correct them every time that “I’d prefer if they were predictable. What if someone behind them got annoyed and didn’t see us and decided to go around and hit us?”
From my experiences, no. Usually these ADHD ideas don’t actually come through as words so dictating requires a layer of translation from idea to words. This is also the struggle with handwriting or typing. The idea is happening and leaving at the same rate, so you can’t slow down to translate. It needs to be an instant mind-to-text transfer like the other person mentioned
Edit to add: To me, these ADHD thoughts feels like a classroom having a debate at 2x speed. I’m coming up with arguments, counterpoints, counterarguments, etc. so quickly that my conscious mind cannot keep up with the conversation. If I’m lucky, I get to have an understanding of the finished product. This is what drives the “well…” trailing off when I’m trying to explain these thoughts to neurotypicals. The conversation is still ongoing, and a counterpoint was brought up after translation which disrupted the entire thought process
chuckles We use dnf here. tips hat and runs
Reformatted, they used the alligator thingies which probably became HTML for your client
Interesting. I think you’re right about it being the monitor, I keep my brightness pretty low because I’m quite photosensitive
Actually doesn’t do the thing for me. I know the optical illusion you’re going for but this color scheme doesn’t trigger it in my brain for some reason. I kind of hate that lmao
Why is this like… Kind of ok looking? Is it just the old school look causing nostalgia? Surely right? I can’t actually be thinking that’s an okay color scheme
Great contrast at least… Not super harsh like the standard light themes
Aesthetics
Unblurred transparent terminals
Hi I might be your worst nightmare and this comment explains how I do it
I’m not sure why I prefer this, but I really like the “darkened background” rather than “blurred background” effect
Sway not mentioned?
Now this is a hill I can die on
What distro are you on? I’ve been out of Linux for like 3 months now but never had issues with my mouse randomly changing behavior in the year or so prior to that. Whether they work or not is up in the air, but random behavior changes seems like a weird practice
Have you tried actually following random strangers with no identifiable credentials unsolicited advice on your health and well-being? Like have you really tried?
Personally, I think you can get rid of this behavior by punching yourself in your dreams as hard as you can. I don’t see anyway that this could harm you and it will instantly solve your problems because I’m a super genius and you should listen to me.
Don’t be that ninny
I’ll do what I want! Lol cheers, PTSD fucking blows. I’m not violent but I always wake up in a panic, no matter what the situation is. Jolt up with a sharp breath every morning and then sit there doing breathing exercises for 20 minutes
Big fuckin gun
First of all, that’s not their only install option as far as I can tell. I can see an incantation which automatically pulls and installs it, and I see a step-by-step make build
instruction set.
Both of which can be relatively easily googled because they’re both only 3 commands. And, if you’re on a Linux machine that means you probably have access to the man pages for make, mv and cd.
If you’re installing something without understanding the command behind it then you’re doing something wrong. You wouldn’t download and install a random .exe, so stop running random wget | sudo bash commands.
I actually think a lot of people put the same or more effort into Windows, they just don’t realize it because it’s what they’re used to. You would verify the install instructions on Windows. If you wouldn’t, then you probably should be on something atomic rather than windows or a normal Linux distro.
They will come across something that needs some command line input
I would genuinely be surprised if you could give me an example of a command that can’t be replicated with a GUI in some way
You even threw the word “wait” in there independently because of your preconceptions of customer support calls
