It’s a damn comfortable privilege
I enjoyed watching that channel but the amount of *dings* over some misunderstanding about a thing that was explained a second before got to me
Not only C++ but also Swift, which just feels strange
Why build a new browser in C++ when safer and more modern languages are available?
Ladybird started as a component of the SerenityOS hobby project, which only allows C++. The choice of language was not so much a technical decision, but more one of personal convenience. Andreas was most comfortable with C++ when creating SerenityOS, and now we have almost half a million lines of modern C++ to maintain.
However, now that Ladybird has forked and become its own independent project, all constraints previously imposed by SerenityOS are no longer in effect.
We have evaluated a number of alternatives, and will begin incremental adoption of Swift as a successor language, once Swift version 6 is released.
Inside me there are two wolves: Wanting a nice uptime and wanting to constantly update
Ah, I was thinking that with anything modern I haven’t had that. Kernel needs a reboot, services can be restarted and apps just chug along until you restart them yourself
Doesn’t the 2FA protect users still, if they only got the password?
Until exporting and syncing keys is properly implemented, passkeys can go kick rocks.
A lot of the stuff that has implemented passkeys so far are on mobile. And I mean the apps serving them out, not things you authenticate to.
It feels like everyone is trying to tie people to their platform. Oh, and also use the opportunity to force shit like “no custom ROMs or bootloader unlocking” on Android at the same time.
What works
Encryption - Yes
GUI - Yes
What does not
SMB & Network replication does not always work, may require SMB network patch.
See: Misc Things to configure (Samba Shares)
Some Font rendering issues.
What was not tested
Decryption
Ransom Payment
Uh oh. And giving it “platinum” even though some stuff doesn’t work and basic features weren’t tested is bullshit. I demand a retraction!
It’s just to WineHQ’s AppDb, it just describes how well stuff works with Wine. It’s similar to the newer ProtonDB. Someone tested the WannaCry/WannaCrypt malware with Wine for the hell of it.

Absolutely disgusted how you set the pic on the same line
what??
It just seems like a lot of work for courts to try and find out which partner made the personal relationship such that it ended, how much of it was from which partner, what was the real personal life of a couple and so on. Just seems a bit ludicrous for a court to be dealing with.
Not all contracts are made equal. But I guess a simple fix would be to have “until one side wants to end the partnership” in there. Though I think isn’t that what the law already says?
*gets a sext while walking past a kindergarten*
Uh oh
This just sounds like those other things should be fixed instead of trying to find one person to assign blame to in a divorce.
I don’t understand the significance of the first one
It’s not the C++ that I find strange hah
