Yes, at least for the basic reason that he is an “ideal hero” for the corrupt fucks.

Completely cripple hundreds of goons who may or may not have any desire to actually help the mastermind? Totally fine!

Kill the actual mastermind that’s actually, directly and openly responsible for most of the terrible shit? Oh no, I’m having a moral conniption! Maybe use his billions to do actual charity work that could change millions of lives? Nope!! Must keep up the playboi image and spend it all trying to be the one hero.

Dude’s a perfect example of good ignorant people doing fuck-all to actually solve problems.

Oh we absolutely can throw shade at MS when they use the very same schemes to install “features” you cannot turn off or applications you cannot uninstall.

FUCK MS for deciding what invasive spyware-I-mean-features to turn on with no recourse for the average user.

  • No one is asking people to spend all evening cooking gourmet meals. Many, many, MANY food items, like a toasted tuna sandwich, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, frying up some eggs, whipping up pre mixed pancakes, etc… They all take less time than it takes to drive to a fast food place, order food, and either drive back, or sit and eat it.

But noooo, let’s choose to be a victim of our own circumstances instead of trying to improve things in the little ways we can control! You are so wise for rolling over and giving up.

  • Yea I agree with you from the perception angle. Being poor is a disgusting trap that the US should be fully ashamed that it still exists.

… Though mathematically, only a fool pays piecemeal for the PRODUCT of what they could do themselves for much, much less. A week of suffering to open up your food options is a strategic move more people should and can make.

If they were truly, completely unable to save money, they wouldn’t be the audience going to fast food that we’re talking about, as fast food is also beyond the truly poor’s budget.

You can get A LOT more food from groceries than fast food for the same price, so if they’re going to fast food and complaining about never being able to afford things… I have good news for them!

Ehhhh, you’re only describing the other side of the calculation that we both know Xi is making. The moment that calculation shows invading Russia/India would maybe work, he’d probably go for it.

If the US removed itself from the global stage, I’d suspect Xi would focus more on the Pacific and Thaiwan, but if the calculations show he could own Russia/India too? Yeeaaaaa he’s not passing that up.

Also, we all should know how China’s votes go after Hong Kong… China is a dictatorship that calls itself communist. Nothing more.

  • Or, if they get past the great filter of self-absorbed shittery, they either:

    1. Realize how dangerous and pathetic almost smart enough species are and steer clear entirely.
    2. Realize life itself is a game of greed and shittery and settle in to a life of reclusive observance to not be greedy.
    3. Allow themselves to die off because life is a pathetic attempt to be special on a stage that is far too vast to ever change or give a damn about sentience.

Could easily be the start of it. If the US civil wars with the orangutan and his ilk, and China starts to fuck with Russia because Xi recognises Putin as a paper tiger dumbass (though China’s army is also paper tigery, so…) or just escalates their fighting with India…

Then… That’d be most of the world involved in war.

  • Nah a lot of crap is wrong in old curriculum. In many worse ways than Newtonian physics being an exceptionally simplified model, or the old model of atoms being wrong, or chemistry before the periodic table of elements was figured out, etc.

People assume we’ve known things for waaaay longer than we have. At least anyone laughing with this comic.

I used to GPU passthrough a 7900 xtx. Just pass through the whole PCIE device and don’t try to partition it or any fancy stuff. All that likely won’t work unless you have specific workstation cards, anyways. Just pass it through so the VM gets all of the gpu. Then, the only performance issues should come only from any tomfoolery with CPU settings or other performance settings like not having all the hardware virtualization hooks turned on.

Though fair warning: I had lots of odd issues, like the GPU not soft-resetting after crashes, and not being able to soft-reboot the VM. Because the commercial drives often do not have all of the power states and driver hooks necessary to totally reboot/etc while staying powered and attached to a bus.
