I have central air in my apartment that has no on/off switch. I have to flip the right breaker if I want that fan to shut off. It does feel completely unnecessary at times.

There are definitely good traits and much to be said about China’s accomplishments. But it’s just the same old empire story. Even if it’s the lesser evil, how long will that last? How far from the Golden Path will each new generation stray? Corruption and rot has always been historically given.

I agree. It’s just a shame that people would rather sabotage than build a movement by attacking everyone on both the inside and outside of the fence.

The vegan communities, in my experience, are pretty spiky. Even amongst vegans there’s a huge rift, like they’re competing on whose version is most ethical. It’s turned me off actually interacting with them as I find my own balance of reducing suffering into this world.
