Were people just stupid or something and not capable of knowing when the ambient light and camera is affecting the colour of the image?
WTF is this about people getting exact pixel colours?! The question is what colour is the dress, not the colour of the picture in which the dress is depicted!
Using pixel colour to determine the colour of a dress is like saying Martin Luther King had grey skin because the photo he’s depicted in is in black and white!
I dare not find out what my reading level is, for the same reason I dare not find out what my IQ is. I don’t gain anything by knowing it, and knowing that I’m stupid will only worsen my self-esteem issues.
I feel better assuming I’m roughly average for both measurements.
Last cruise I went on, I was 15. I don’t remember it being very good. Everyone was either shitting themselves about getting norovirus, or shitting themselves because they’d got norovirus. The excursions were boring and obviously done on the cheap, and I was neither old enough to drink, or young enough to fully enjoy the kids club (I will admit I was fucking amazing at dancing to Cotton Eye Joe on Just Dance though). That and there was a 13-year-old that tried to throw herself overboard and had to be dragged from the railings by other teenagers.
The ship was nothing like that though, it was the P&O ship Oriana, which is a little more reserved. It retired in 2019 and is now a cruise ship in China called the the Piano Land.
It used to be so much simpler. I remember having a Galaxy S3 and whenever I saved a file I knew exactly where it went. There was a file explorer built in, and downloads went to the downloads folder.
You know for a bunch of tech-savvy people you all seem to fuck up your installs a lot.
Linux can be booted from a USB drive, Windows is deliberately designed to be easy to install and takes less than an hour, and nobody’s installing MacOS anyway.

They had those massive tubes of sweets like Notch had in his mansion. They tend to melt into eachother over time, especially if exposed to the sun.

The self-checkout at Aldi is a godsend. Way too many times I’ve been on my lunch break trying to buy a sandwich and snack, only for some old git to be using the time at the till to have a chinwag with the cashier!
By all means, have a chat with the cashier, but not when there’s a massive queue of people waiting behind you! Also, you know those shelves near the window with the sign saying “Pack here”? That’s not a suggestion. Pack your shopping away from the tills so people can keep buying stuff.

Bombs are going to be used to kill civilians anyway. Would you rather their deaths be intentional or accidental? Either way a bomb is going to go off, the best you can do is ensure the bomb hits where the person dropping it intended. That way, if it’s a civilian, the person dropping the bomb has no deniability because they hit exactly what they intended to hit.
If I worked for a defence contractor, I would make the most accurate weapons in the world. Why? Because when the people who fired those weapons are up in court and they go “Oh well I didn’t MEAN to hit that hospital, the bomb just didn’t hit its intended target”, the prosecutor can go “Nonsense! Those are the most accurate weapons in the world. They ONLY hit what you intended to hit with as much force as you wanted to hit it with!”.
The weapons are gonna get built, I’d rather there be no ambiguity in how they get used. It’s not like WW2 where Bomber Command was like “Here’s the dockyards we want to blow up, and a bajillion tonnes of bombs to blow it up with”, and then the bombers flatten half a city just trying to hit the docks and miss every single time because it’s cloudy, or hit an entirely different city because they got lost on the way!. You only have to look at Russia’s “throw enough artillery shells at the area until it’s completely flat” approach to war to know what happens when you haven’t got precision munitions, or not enough of them.
Is there some magic to rotating a PDF? I just opened one and there’s a button in Firefox saying “Rotate clockwise” and “Rotate anticlockwise”. Are we talking something rotating and then saving the PDF so it stays rotated or just rotating it after it’s already loaded? Or is this about rotating the PDF so it can be printed out?

…Neither of those time periods are cushy. The Old Republic is a constant war between the Sith Empire and Republic, reaching far into the core worlds. I wouldn’t call that cushy for the average dude. You’re either enslaved by the Sith, enslaved by the Hutts, or conscripted by the Republic.
Post-OT in Legends wasn’t exactly nice either, what with the Yuuzhan Vong War which killed an estimated 300 trillion people and multiple planets completely destroyed. You’d actually be better off in the Galactic Civil War! At least then only one planet blew up.
Thing is, unless you live in the core worlds in any time period, and even then a relatively rich part of the core worlds, your life is gonna be pretty shitty in Star Wars. The Outer Rim is notoriously shit for anyone living there. Naboo might be nice, or Alderaan if you can actually find a place to live there and pick the right time period, so basically a couple decades before the prequels.
