I got banned when I connected to a VPN endpoint (ProtonVPN). Instant, permanent, unappealable ban. 13-year-old account. Sole moderator of a couple subs
Probably for the best though. Screw Reddit

There is a faster method of deplaning. Inside-out is faster. All the aisle seats get their stuff and get off. Then middle, then window
Unfortunately it was never implemented because it makes it difficult to charge extra for higher class zones. It’s also very difficult to get people to actually do it
The cashier would have had to put all those items back. They chose the option that involved less work for them. Double duty on register and self-checkout is less work than self-checkout and restocking a large cart
I put the blame on Target management and corporate
Curbside pickup is an inconvenient option. Screens are a terrible interface for picking groceries. Maybe in the future a VR option will be as, or more, convenient
I prefer the fastest and most convenient option. Picking out products in person is faster, and having a cashier scan the items is faster
Seems most people like self-checkout because they have anti-social tendencies. That’s perfectly valid, but I don’t have that issue. I actually enjoy small talk with strangers
That change was driven by the drastic expansion is quantity and variety of goods. A person couldn’t reasonably verbally dictate what they’d like to buy in a modern grocery store. It’s far more convenient to choose them yourself
The driving factor for self-checkout was solely profit, not customer convenience. I, personally, find it far more convenient to have a cashier do the checkout, because they’re far faster and the responsibility of doing it correctly is on them, not me. I don’t want police showing up at my house because the AI at my grocery store incorrectly decided I stole
Look at all the people in this thread complaining about how slow other customers are in self-checkout. It’s clearly a widespread issue
Yes, it’s the consumer’s fault, not the giant corporation under-staffing their stores so they can hit another record profit quarter
Companies are now intentionally under-staffing checkout lanes
They make record profits while I either have to wait longer, or do the work myself. Why, exactly, shouldn’t I be able to complain about that?
It’s because the vast majority of people “into crypto” have no interest in the actual underlying asset. They’re just hoping to get rich. I honestly think it destroys any potential crypto had. It’s a shame because it would be good to have an alternative to credit cards for digital transactions, and especially to have a push payment method, as opposed to the pull method used by banks and credit cards
That’s a bad argument. Visa, MasterCard, etc. know who you’re transacting with anyway. That is functionally equivalent to just paying from a Coinbase Bitcoin wallet. On the public ledger, it’ll only show a transaction from a Coinbase wallet. No one would know it’s you other than Coinbase and the porn provider
Woth crypto you could at least send it to your wallet, throw it through Tornado Cash, then put it in another wallet, making it extremely difficult to track
In general though, if the government wants to know who made a digital transaction, they’ll be able to find out. Doesn’t matter if you use a credit card or crypto
What makes Bitcoin bad as a currency is the slow, expensive transaction times
Not a single comment about Kali that I can pick a fight with?? So disappointed rn
