had that under linux too, because there’s still buffer to be written; but under linux i can at least check /proc/sys/vm/dirty_bytes to see how long it will take.
Ah yes, the famously communist Russian Federation. The RF is nakedly an imperial fascist regime that doesn’t even have communist window dressing, it boggles the mind that self-proclaimed communists and anti-imperialists support them.

pegging is quite literally pushing shit good
i currently have something similar with video output: if i turn off my monitor and turn it back on too fast (or if i disconnect/reconnect it), now there is no more picture, and i have to reboot per remote shell to get it back.
oh well, at least there’s an open issue in some github about it, so it will be fixed sometime in the future.
there is a new in dev version of the vortex mod manager that does work under linux available under https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/NexusMods.App … it’s not complete yet, but it works for cyberpunk for me, check it out!
No, I just had to remove a few packages which blocked the upgrade. i followed the nobara wiki upgrade page. the only thing i found not working yet was adaptive sync, which caused black screens in games, but i was still on the closed source drivers - nobara switched to the open source ones on 41. i did the switch today, following this guide, but haven’t tried it out again yet.

Upgrading my Nobara from 40 to 41 stopped my nvidia driver crashes in wayland for now, i hope it’s not just a fluke :-)
I worked tech support for an ISP, and i did this more often than i want to think about it.
It didn’t help that one of the cable modems we gave out to our clients had a standby-button, which made the CM look like it was off - there was no indicator at all on the device, so i couldn’t even blame the client for that (but i did blame my employer for not thinking about that. just like i blamed him for buying another modem series with power sockets which failed pretty quickly. did i mention that repairs were done in-house, and not all too well? it’s been 20 years, and i am still a bit salty for all my wasted time)
