I find snaps quite useful for CLI apps, I’m curious what annoys you about them.
And yes I understand that the backend not being open source is an issue, but it’s not that important imo. Flathub, for example, could change the code on their backend without notice and screw us over.
Yeah that’s what I do to, I don’t need to write complex scripts anyway. Fish’s syntax seems interesting though.
I just use fish, I never really had the need for ultra-customization. But I do admire stuff from places like [email protected].
I use Ubuntu and no I’m not going to switch to mint. I use Debian on the server though.

Though I’m not a big fan of centralization, I use cloudflare. Their DDoS protection is unmatched, they have scraping protection, and just in case they decide to screw their users over, switching to another service is trivial.
I don’t feel the need to switch. Ubuntu serves me well. And I prefer GNOME
