I think you’re right about the material properties. I read somewhere that Lego is really finicky about the specific “recipe” for their plastic bricks, and yes, as a result they can specify higher tolerances.

In grade school, I was told that naming modern-day Greenland “Greenland” was a deliberate decision made with the intent of luring people into moving there. Marketing, basically. Don’t know how true that was, and I don’t remember any mention of Vikings.

I would absolutely take the side of the pet owner in this case. Although not a pet owner myself, I have seen the love and happiness that pets give. It’s beautiful, and not for outsiders to judge.
