This was meant more as an utopian wish statement of well standardized and interconnected ecosystems instead of trying to teach anyone how to use their phone lol. I’m well aware that we’re moving into the other direction sadly and I also hate that I have to use apps for what should have been a website in the first place.

I’m not really affected by this and can’t say much about the existing needs beyond what iOS and Android are offering on the OS level though. I totally understand that a website is a much better starting point for this if you’re starting from scratch, given a responsive implementation approach and no DRM and obfuscation measures applied.

Most accessibility options are already baked into the OS. There should be no need to configure anything related inside the App. You’d have to implement responsive design though, which is not only an accessibility problem but should be common sense by now.

Probably because you should care about the fuckton of TVs being sold and in circulation with software that is just some of the worst privacy violations bundled together in a case behind a big LCD/OLED panel. There is no option to avoid it and probably no option to install something else on the hardware you bought and therefor should be yours to do whatever you want to with it. I even read that some connect to open wifi access points without passwords to reach the internet.

Or Caddy (simpler than and imho spiritual successor to nginx).

Or Traefik (has loads of convenient middlewares for reverse proxy stuff).

Or Apache (if it is somehow better suited to your use case).

Recently tried to make a printer scan a file to an exFAT formatted thumb drive, didn’t go well. Then tried moving a file from a windows to a linux machine using another exFAT formatted thumb drive, still no luck lol.

There are some Raspi competitors offering SBCs with RISC-V chips, there is even a RISC-V Mainboard for the framework laptops, but the last time I checked they sadly didn’t reach the performance levels of comparable ARM chips.

Switched from a raspberry pi 3 to a second hand x86 thin client (lenovo thinkcentre m920q) because raspberry pi 4 were not available at the time. Made me learn proxmox and a bunch of other cool stuff my raspi couldn’t handle.

I’m rooting for ARM / RISC-V to become more popular in desktop computing / servers though.
