Me too. My final reason to not go back to windows was that I realized I didn’t actually really care for the games I played with restrictive anti cheat and was only playing them because they were popular.

Now I just play games that I consciously acknowledge I’m enjoying playing, and that has been great for mental health as well.

The 3DS used to be hacked using a QR code that was scanned using the game cubic ninja (it used QR codes as a medium for sharing levels). The interpreter had a basic memory safety bug, so you could trigger a ROP chain using a malformed QR code to get ACE. This was of course voluntary by the user (and cubic ninja was hard to get because it was not a commercial success) but that qualifies, I guess.

Technically, it does provide better connection speeds by enabling the router to avoid channel hopping, so it can talk to multiple devices (or the same devices if it has multiple antennae) at the same time. This is part of the recent wifi6 and wifi7 standards so more and more devices will start to gain speeds using this technique

Realistically computers have at best 2 antennae and this is largely marketing wank.
