If you never look left, he’s never there. Or at least Schrödinger thinks so half the time
Sure, but we also need to re-define what we call/think of as plastic. When we think of plastic we think of fossil fuel based plastics right? We don’t think of biodegradable, compostable, renewable plastics. Plastics made from corn starch and sugarcane exist with processes that can greatly reduce the carbon impact, while also reducing risks of micro plastics being in our water supply, blood, and well everything. Plastics can also be made from algea from what I’ve heard. So the idea that we need to shift what we are using I believe is 100% true, but that also means we need to do some research into what would be the least impactful, highest yield, best value (or we will never get support in this hellscape) to find replacements.
Glass can be reused near indefinite, but is heavy and uses a decent amount of energy input to remold it. That doesn’t mean we shouldnt use it, it means we should, but for specific purposes. We need to get our governments and businesses to invest in research… Somehow.
Yeah the last 2 episodes of season one were great, the last episode of season 2 felt like a great climb and then just collapsed at the end I feel. Like they didn’t know where they wanted to go and just put it on a character not knowing where they wanted to go as a cliff hanger
Someone told me to skip the first season of always sunny if I watch it, do you agree?
I once cut a small artery above my left elbow right before I left work (We were young and just fucking around) Cant remember my exact age, probably late 16 early 17. I took my undershirt off and tied it around my arm to try to slow the bleeding while I drove home. The blood goes threw the shirt, and is all over the inside car door, seatbelt and created a puddle on my pants in the creases because they were those Dickies work pants that are water resistant. When I got out of the car I heard the blood splat on the ground so I figured it was to much. Went inside tied yarn tightly above it and wrapped an old shirt again around it to replace that one as I didn’t have any superglue. I spent the hours of 330am-630am crawling in circles around the house with 2 bottles of resolve, paper towels and wet rags in a bucket trying to clean blood drops off the carpets and floors from when I walked in. The entire time dropping more blood in a near endless cleanup chain with only one thought on my mind. My mother is going to fucking kill me for getting blood on her carpets. At 630 (they open at 7), dizzy as all get out from lack of sleep and blood loss I got back in my car to drive to the clinic just hoping no one pulled me over or I passed out driving. I got there with a blood soaked rag wrapped around my arm and the lady handed me a 2 page clipboard to fill out and I remember staring at her with an expression that clearly said, can’t I fill this out while he stitches my arm? Of course not, so 5 minutes later I hand her a clip board mostly free of blood and paperwork that says I have no insurance.
The clinic doctor was great. Told him I had no insurance and couldn’t afford anesthetic and asked if he could just do it without. He cleaned it a bit, poked me with a needle of some kind and put in 7 or so stitches. Then marked it down as a consult or something, so I wasn’t charged with any of the items he needed/used. (Like $40 for the visit)
I’ll always remember that guy. Moral/point of the story though… If you are less afraid of bleeding to death than you are to ask your parents for help, your parents might be abusive as opposed to strict.
Depends on the fictional mythology. For instance the show Tuee Blood says it only applies to homes owned by a human, not businesses and such. That show has so many plot holes… But that idea they almost stick to. So I would say if the entire country was owned by 1 person and they lived there and had no businesses in it, sure.
When people said we needed to focus on. A class war, they weren’t trying to tell the middle, lower middle, and lower class to fight each other. Yet here we are
Thanks for confirming. My eyes adjusted when I did so and then as I scrolled back up even the on where they used the color pallet had changed to my vision. Next day saw it as white, and did the same thing again. The brain is weird.
Just curious. If you look at the dress at the bottom, and let your peripherals see the dresses up top slowly, then look up to the dresses on top, do you see them in blue/black then? Happened for me, then even when I scrolled up to the other pictures they stayed blue/black for a while.
Had the same happen to me
This isn’t the picture they used at the time either, why are we cropping it now?
Had a VP that was the head of IT at one point that used to tell a story how he took the whole company down on his first day. He was a disciplined person as well. (Was in the British Royal Navy, then later the U.S. Navy). They were in the middle of moving a lot of their services over and had a 3rd party company contracted to install some kind of new switches if I remember correctly. They set it all up, left him with the information and contact info I guess for assisting whoever was going to managing them. Well he apparently tried to log into one and managed to factory reset it somehow on accident. No idea how he did that on accident. But the company managed things from the Virgin Islands to North Carolina all the way west to Texas. It was corporate headquarters, so… No paychecks for thousands of employees across 100+ sites and the whole 9 yards. Thankfully a quick fix once so everything was back up the next day, but that’s how you make a good first impression.
Still no idea why they had a 3rd party installing those switches though… Definitely something we managed in house by the time I got there
That’s the ticket. Worked in Tempe for 3 weeks. Come non work nights I was wondering what I should do, so if I was tired Id pop some edibles, laugh at a movie for a bit, wake up with munchies and get breakfast, then go back to bed until afternoon.
Didn’t want to spend much time outside when it was daylight anyways. Sun starts to go down, find a dive bar or something.
Permissions. Security is never about convenience. No one wants to hear that they can’t have access, but they just can’t. There’s a reason why even permissions for IT are usually broken into so many fragments. Anyone can fuck everything up if they have the permissions to do so.
I was jealous they read it in 2 hours. I’d spend 2 hours a night for a week to finish most books I enjoy reading.
Number of times I re-read the same paragraph because I got distracted worrying about bills - 7. That’s usually when I have to give up reading for the night when I finish that chapter.
Ice cubes of chili? Either I eat way to much or you are very much more behaved with portion control and eating several times a day.
I’m pro one meal, eat until full… fast till I pick a time a time to eat the next day. Then again if I made chili I’d put garlic/onions in the pot bottom first, then meats to brown, then all other ingredients. Cook it all in one pot then when done eating, put the pot in the fridge on a heat mat. Eat the same thing until it’s gone.
Which would usually only take a 2-3 days.
Having someone else in the house and having to make other meals makes meals so much harder…
“We had that yesterday” - apparently what many other people say.
They also might not be a zionist county. Hard to say what things would look like now if dumbassery 1 & 2 hadn’t occurred.
Agreed, but let’s be honest. If someone told you that you could sting a giant and piss him off for fun and not die, many of us would give it a try. If bees know they’ll die, probably want to avoid it.
Then when texts came around they costed extra, just for funsies. Limited number with possibly massive fees for going over. Yet the texts took up no real room that the phones weren’t already using to communicate with towers
