This hits pretty hard this week. First day back after vacation and straight back on the treadmill of dealing with people who apparently put way less effort into trying not to be an asshole as I do. Either that or they’re putting the same in, but their natural state is that of a deranged despot.

Is there celeb drama I’m unaware of or is it a further reference to the character he played?

He’s traditionally been an asshole in his HBO shows - Eastbound and Down, Vice Principles, and Righteous Gemstones

A Danny McBride character calling you an asshole is a bit like Darth Vader calling you a bad father.

Probably the internet thing to hate the thing because reasons.

Here, I’ll try to prove it: (sharp inhale) Game of Thrones’ ending didn’t suck and fans are just mad it didn’t have a happy ending.

OH! I thought of another interpretation: Subjecting others to Danny McBride’s appearance is an asshole move.

Not sure I can agree with it, but it almost makes more sense than him being an asshole IRL.

I find it interesting how people consistently claim that art is purely subjective and all opinions on the quality or goodness of art are equally valid, but they only seem to do that when talking about art that is widely regarded as shit. One could speculate on the motivations of people making that claim, but maybe they just like shit.
